The Elyte fairway has a flat, slightly extended sole that skids across the turf instead of digging in, which is exactly what a fairway lie demands. The CG sits low and forward, so ball speed holds up even when you catch it two millimetres thin. It suits handicaps of 8 to 25 who want a safer play than driver off the tee. If you cannot hit a 3-wood off the deck, look at the 5 or 7 instead.
