Modern irons often finish with a 43° pitching wedge, which leaves a yardage gap to your 56 that nothing covers. The 52° Opus fills it — around 90 to 100 metres for an average player. Callaway uses a more aggressive surface texture between the grooves, adding roughly 300 to 500 rpm on a full shot. Do try the narrower grind before you commit, as it is not for everyone.
